Ski Basics Course | Lake Wilderness | Parks & Rec.

This fun, no-snow-needed class is designed for young first-time skiers (ages 3+) and their adults. Led by a seasoned instructor with experience in the Alps and at The Summit at Snoqualmie.

We'll cover everything from ski gear basics to age-appropriate dryland exercises that mimic key on-snow skills. We will cover balance, wedge turns, and getting up from a fall.

Skiing is a big investment, and this class helps families avoid those frustrating first-day meltdowns by building skills and confidence ahead of time. It's also a great way to connect with other skiing families and get excited for winter adventures.

Session Dates: Thursdays, from 10 to 11:00 am

Residents: $100/family/3 sessions | Non-Residents: $120/family/3 sessions.

What to bring: Weather-appropriate clothing (the last two sessions will be outdoors) and any gear you already have—skis, boots, helmet, goggles. I’ll have test gear available for everyone to try, so no worries if you don’t own ski gear yet
